Leading The Headless Coders - Lessons From The Field
Briefly, From The Other Side Of The Screen.
In partnership with

There are lessons learned in your bones.
You know them later when your body moves as if by premeditated knowing toward or away from the familiar joy or pain.
The corporate world is a well I draw from in this way. I spent years in the field learning and making mistakes that became successes, each of which builds upon the last.
You remember this when you once would panic, and now you have composure.
The Headless Team & I
When I moved from individual contributor to developer lead and engineering manager, these rapidly learned skills would become inexorably linked to the work I would spend my life doing.
I love a good team. A good engineering team is like an engine humming at the perfect hertz frequency. Often, however, it is not this way; that is where lessons and experience come in, and are likewise earned along the way through experience.
Running a "team" of AI coding tools is only viable with workflows. As one learns to manage a Git repo with their engineering team, the skills are transferable to leading AI coding tools.
I would not hire them.
They go rogue.
Memory issues abound.
Hence, workflows are your hero here.
